Navya Chittarvu is an accomplished classical music instructor and a singer with an experience of 7 years in the field. She is the holder of grade 5 from ABRSM in Western classical vocal performance and western classical theory as well. Her zeal in teaching and interacting with students has earned her a significant name in the city Hyderabad as an accomplished trainer. She is a qualified Indian Classical Music since childhood and has been performing actively on stage since age 5. As a teenager, she appeared in SPB’s popular Television show Padutha Teeyaga twice. She has been under the tutelage of Dr. Bala Donepudi for Carnatic Music and Mr.Sangamesh for Hindustani Classical Music as well. Navya has been actively performing with her Carnatic teacher guru since a decade and also teaching the music form for students. Navya holds a Certification in Carnatic Music from Potti Sriramulu Telugu University. She also is a student of Strings and Tunes since four years with vocal training from Ashrita D’Souza. Has an ABRSM Grade 5 in Western Vocal Performance. With her unfaltering interest in western classical music, she also studied theory from Commodore TMJ Champion sir and holds an ABRSM Grade 5 certification as well. Navya is also an accomplished journalist with over seven years of experience in the field. She is a regular contributor to the Metro Plus and Friday Review sections of the Hindu. She also had the opportunity to interview global artists like Karl Lutchmayer, Pt. Hariprasad Chaurasia, Ranjani-Gayatri, Guitar Prasanna,Kaushiki Chakraborty, Wolfgang Haffner, Pt. Shivakumar Sharma etc., Some of her articles were featured as mainstream cover stories for the Score Magazine and well admired by the readers and music connoisseurs alike.
