John K Joseph is a passionate musician and educator with over 12 years of experience in the music industry. Although John earned his degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) from VNR Vignana Jyothi Institute of Engineering and Technology (VNRVJIET), his true passion has always been music. During his college years, he was an integral part of the college band, Crescendo, where he showcased his talent as a guitarist.

A self-taught musician from a young age, John further honed his skills and became a certified musician through the prestigious Trinity College, London. His dedication to music led him to found The School of Rock (TSOR) in 2008. The inspiration behind the name came from the popular Hollywood movie, “School of Rock,” which echoes his mission to instill a deep love for music in others.

Under John’s leadership, TSOR has become a cornerstone of music education in Hyderabad, training countless young musicians. The academy has since expanded to include Jam Studio, Sonics, and a Music Production House, offering a comprehensive range of services to the city’s vibrant music community.

John is a multi-talented individual who wears many hats:

Excelling in such diverse aspects of music is no easy feat, but John has done so with remarkable success. He has worked as a sound engineer for various bands and events across the city and is an active member of a worship band as both a singer and guitarist. His contributions to the music community extend beyond teaching; he provides essential services like a jam room, sonic services, and music production facilities for musicians.

As an educator, John has guided numerous students towards achieving their musical aspirations, preparing them for prestigious examinations like Trinity and ABRSM. His students have gone on to pursue successful careers in music, a testament to his effective teaching methods.

John’s performance experience is extensive, having played at notable venues including college festivals such as Sarang at IIT Madras, IIT Hyderabad, and various star hotels in the city. His talents also extend to composing music for short films, documentaries, independent films, jingles, and music videos. He has even worked as a music director for two Telugu feature films, which are awaiting release.

John’s musical influences are as diverse as his talents, ranging from Classic Rock and Hard Rock to Folk and Reggae. His unique vocal abilities and innovative approach to composition set him apart in the music industry.
